My continued fumbles to get things right. ****************************************************************************************************** Year: 2018 Notes: Apple blossom, caraway, coriander, thyme, rosemary, marjoram, basil, rose, birch, silver pine, cedar, opoponax, myrrh, civet A truly Bohemian fragrance based on historical information of the ethnic culture's roots, religions, attitudes and landscape. An optimistic top note of apple blossom paves the way for a walk in Bohemia's ancient forests of silver pine, birch and cedar. Incense lends a balsamic smokiness, facilitating a connection between Mother Nature and one's inner-being. The fragrance's intensely feral base is hard to ignore, lending a raw, vulnerable feeling, but also an expansive sense of freedom. We would comfortably place this beauty into the modern-vintage category. Fragrance Quick Story I ran into this because I am starting to like perfumers. This was thrown into a purchase I made, I looked it up and found the perfumers on it. It was none other than the brothers behind one of my new favorite houses Auphorie. Then I study more and these are actually the house perfumes of Ave perfume. Did I just say that out loud. She used Eugene and Emrys to compose her fragrances so I had to wear right away out of the box. The story goes oh so much deeper. Fragrance in my opinion compared to Perfumes Notes Holy aromatic bomb. Not an clear cut aromatic that you can pull out on your own, but a carefully chosen savory aromatic that plays well against darker undertones. Rose never forms it’s own note but supports this whole thing on it’s stem providing a scent structure for everything to surround. As whatever this rose becomes it’s starts to fall on cedar planks and a strong dry cedar provides some density against all of the aroma going on. Birch and pine provide a perfect middle to the fume almost throughout the entire wearing. Myrrh provides a touch of sweetness and civet punches back keeping an animalic note throughout the wearing of the perfume. Overall a darker fragrance with brilliant aromatic notes that feels wet. Caraway comes across strongest. Basil, thyme, rosemary, marjoram, and even coriander all blend in to form kinda a italian season note with caraway on top. Soft not pungent at all. Leafy not dried herbs. This all comes together as it is blended very well as a the most modern take on pine yet. If you like pine in fragrance this is the upgrade. This is the modern take, this is perfumers being free to do what they want.
