Fragrance Overview

OK, everyone, this is one that needs to be applied in the right way.  This requires a splash application.  You are going to use more than with an atomizer.  So this isn't as cheap as it appears, since you use a little more than normal per application.  But that is the design of the perfume, and it is perfect. As soon as I read Rasai’s story, it instantly struck a chord with me, because my grandpa and I were very close.  So a connection with him through this is key. When I was a kid, I snuck into my grandpa's Old Spice and, yeah, I'll say it, I felt like a man.  I was probably no more than seven, but that scent made me stronger, confident, nothing was stopping me, and people would notice.  When I finally got my mom to buy me a bottle for like eight bucks, I put it on, and I did not smell like my grandpa.  I would memorize my bottle and study his bottle to see if it said anything different.  I would go to the store and see if I got a kid’s version of Old Spice.  I never figured it out until I learned the term reformulations.  Anyways, this brings me back to that splash of goodness.  No, it doesn't smell the same.  This is original and modern, but floats with you for the day instead of an hour.  It provides a scent bubble you want to be in and draw others to you.  Ladies, if you need a gift for your man, this is it.  I am proud to have a splash bottle in my collection. This is another pleasant surprise among what is beginning to be dreadful one-spray samples.  You get a composition that does this sort of magic.   It floats around you perfectly.  Every turn, something new hits you.  This is a sweet floral yet very unisex cologne.  This is fresh in the best way.

Fragrance Review

This opens up and keeps on giving.  Obviously, I read the notes list, and it is crazy but it doesn’t feel that way.  This feels well mixed, extravagant, and like a luxurious walk through a lush farm with ocean views.   Nothing comes through in a dominant way but everything floats together in one sillage cloud that won’t be forgotten.  The florals, the citrus, the herbs, the earth.  I don’t know if I have a more aromatic fragrance than this.  I have talked about this with other fragrances: application is the key to the enjoyment of this one. Sweet fragrant floral all at once.  It gives, gives, and gives, and then keeps on giving some more. When you put this on, get ready for a bunch of butterflies coming around you, giving off a sillage that changes dynamically with dividends.  This is the splash cologne that pays back.  This is one of those I use heavily and will keep in my stock as long as Rasai keeps on making it.  This is a wear that seems familiar yet stands on its own as a unique splash-on cologne. Kolonya  Notes: Bergamot, Neroli, Petitgrain, Clove, Nutmeg, White Pepper, Bitter Orange, Pink Grapefruit, Blood Orange, Rosewood, Orange Blossom, Rose, Coriander, Galbanum, Rosemary, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Lavender, Angelica Root, Black Plum, Indian Vetiver, Oakmoss, Hay, Amber, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Virginian Cedarwood, Musk, Tobacco "Inspired by Rasei Fort's earliest childhood memories of time with his grandfather- his garden of blooming jasmine and lemon trees, the classic eau de cologne faded into his crisply starched shirt- Kolonya is an intensely personal scent, a true labor of love that echoes with the warmth of pleasantly fuzzy recollection. An imposing list of notes- citrus, spice, florals, moss, woods, resins- nonetheless coalesces into a hypnotically soothing whole, a smooth chord progression of gently wistful etherea that sits softly on the skin, yet will surprise you with moments of profound recognition throughout the day. Not so much a cologne as the memory of a cologne, Kolonya is more than mere fragrance- it's genuine emotion, captured on skin." Brand description.

  1. Very interesting homage to traditional cologne splash genre! Agreed, Rasei Fort is a great quality perfumer talent (and he wasn't in IPSICA France). His Charlatan from Fort & Manlé is to my nose an amazing natural Guerlain LIDGE deluxe scent. Recommend you to try a sample! BTW: Great channel with lots of interesting reviews. Watch them next days, SUBBED! ☕????????

    1. @Therapeutic Fragrance Definetly deserves more attention! If you like well done gourmand like LIDGE, try argentinian brand Fassaï! Blondine is their salty caramel heaven. ❤ Brand owner Natalia Outeda learned in the past from mexican perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Her use of florals, gourmand notes and animalics in base is 2 to none! Tian Di and Teissenddu are also delicacys for niche lovers like you! ☕????????

    2. Love Frassai have a review of Blondine on the channel. Own bottles of the three you mentioned. Yes she is on the next level of compositions. Her skill is that overwhelming good accord she came up with. Good taste ????

    3. @Therapeutic Fragrance LOL ☺ Heads up for your frag taste, bro!???? I'll watch your hole content ASAP, but now you know, that my recommendations are seriously damn good! No fillers, just killers! ROFL! ☕????????

    4. I would stick to my high score playlist. Everything else is pretty much an entire documentary of a composition study. I am finished ow and editing about twenty more videos. After that it will be killer stuff and focusing on my collection and stuff I am chasing.

  2. I have this and quite enjoy it. I put half of my bottle in a spray bottle. A lot of his fragrances including this one give off a purple grape vibe to me. Nice review, enjoy your vacation.

    1. Nice on the purple grape. I totally get popsicle grape from the sillage. Haven't heard that before very good comparison. I almost did an atomizer before splashing like crazy once. There is just something about slapping it on your face.

    2. I am so scared of the same thing. My thoughts when I did this up at the mountain was that it would happen. The video doesn't show it, but I came close to dropping that open bottle. I feel your pain.

  3. Fantastic video. I am loving Kolonya but have been spraying after decanting into a 5ml atomiser. I will slap it on now like you showed, sounds like it will make quite a difference. Rasei is a genius, another masterpiece I feel.

    1. @Therapeutic Fragrance splashed it on today and best description would be that it gives a great "aura" of scent that is different from spraying. Really lovely experience. Downside is I reckon I used about 3ml in the 1 wearing, so I think I will still use a sprayer mostly, but splash on when I get the feeling for a bigger experience. May have to get a backup bottle actually, will see how it goes. Thanks again.

  4. Great video. Sampling now. Grabbing all or Rasie Fort still lately. So far I am not getting any citrus. I get a lot of the Fort & Manle DNA, but nothing else yet. Does it change? Your review make it sound so great. Do i need to give it more time?

    1. Hopefully you caught the part that I wear a ton at once of this stuff. At the very least half a ML. If it was a lucky scent sample I pretty much wear that much at once. And it has to be splashed on like I showed. Or put in an atomizer. If you are using the ls dabber I explained you will miss everything on this one if only dabbing. It's less than double of most of his stuff so I justify using more than double at a time. The sillage is really where it's at after applying around the neck and beard(if you have one, but neck is fine).

  5. After watching the Rasei oud video I came here. Thanks. I too wear my perfume extravagantly you’re right it’s hard to judge a fragrance from those 2 ml spritzs. Great outdoor venue for Kolonya.
